Provides information in Thai and English on RFD’s programs.
Unfortunately the links to some of these (e.g., National
Parks) do not appear to be functioning.
Rainforest
Action Network
Founded in 1985, US-based RAN works to protect the Earth's
rainforests and support the rights of their inhabitants
through education, grassroots organizing and non-violent
direct action. Includes world rain forest movement contacts
by region, selected book reviews and information about campaigns
such as Amazon protection and wood reduction.
Rainforestweb.Org
Useful portal providing information on why
rainforests are important, as well as rainforest
destruction and protection. Section on what is happening
to rainforests worldwide is divided into regions/countries
and includes Indonesia. Useful site.

Thai language site providing information on
deforestation, conservation and community
forestry in Thailand.
Wealth
of the Rainforest: Pharmacy to the World
Site based in Texas provides information pertaining to the
natural resources of the Amazon Rainforest, with a tropical
plant database that is searchable by common name, botanical
name, or ailment. Information is then given on use of substances
and remedies, together with an extensive image gallery,
and details of environmental issues relating to the Rainforest,
such as its destruction and preservation. Includes clinical
references, abstracts and articles relating to rainforest
plants.
